Thursday, October 25:
Students will have the opportunity to make their very own customized pens out of Sculpey oven-bake clay while learning basic clay sculpting techniques, and how to mix new colors!
Thursday, November 8:
Students will first learn a basic bookmaking technique, and then use their imagination to create multiple “exquisite corpses” in their books. “Exquisite Corpse” is a game that was used by Surrealist artists to come up with fantastic and often absurd drawings. The students will also learn about multiple Surrealist artists.
Tuesday, October 30:
Students will get the chance to compare and learn about Victorian Houses and create their own drawings using oil pastels. The students will learn about different shapes, lines, and patterns in order to create their dream house.
Tuesday, November 13:
Students will be inspired by the art of Nam-Jun Paik and his work to create their very own mixed media collages, taking home a unique art piece!
The workshop, taught by instructor Cindy McClellan, explores collage, image transfers, stenciling, found objects, composition and more! Please join us for an artistic, mixed-media workshop full of learning, sharing, play, imagination, exploration and most of all fun! Pre-register by Nov 12. $25/person.
